YOUR VALUE IS NOT MARKED BY ONLOOKERS

If we live our lives worried about what others think of us and make that as the measure of our worth we delay our own lives. Your worth is not what your fellow human being, who is also struggling to make sense of his own worth, determines. You are more than the comments other people pour on you. You are more than those instances others have gossiped about you. You are more than even those praises you occasionally receive from people who see sometimes the things you do right. You are not even what your spouse observes about you.
Derive your worth from God himself. The bible says in Psalm 139:13-16 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and all the days of our lives were written in God’s book before we were ever born, confirming God’s prior knowledge and plan for our lives. Since we are made, not by human hands, allow then only the architect - the marker to say a word about your worth through the scriptures. We are God's own possession and he alone has the last word over your worth. Your worth, your value is not determined by what you do or the status you have in life but by the fact that you are the child of God - a wonderful work of art of our Creator for you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139.14). The bible says "We are God's master piece..." (Eph 2:10) and that is what we are. A master piece is a finished product of an artist and God sees in you that finished product even if we are to perfect a few things before we can reach what God sees in us.
As such walk about in life with confidence even when you do not seem to measure up to the expectations of your fellow human beings. They are not the measure of your worth. They are not the markers of your valuable self.
GLORY BE TO THE FATHER AND TO THE SON AND TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING IS NOW AND EVER SHALL BE WORLD WITHOUT END. AMEN
